The Bikini Body Reality

We live in a world where people are judged on how they look. I’m guilty of doing it, we all are. We strive to look the best, we spend minutes if not hours a day swiping through social media admiring everything we think looks beautiful. We’re in a constant battle with ourselves over our appearance.

Over the last year I’ve learnt to love the way I look and be happy with myself. Before this I always used to compare myself to others and lacked confidence.

Last week I was having a conversation with a friend who told me perfect doesn’t exist. I told him I disagreed, and he told me I’m chasing unicorns if I think it does.

Now I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I hate admitting when I’m wrong (I’m very stubborn), but I think he was somewhat right. No one is perfect and that’s because we all define ‘perfect’ in different ways. It’s subjective.

Ready to jump in 💦

Whether it’s down to personality or looks. I have many imperfections and I’m finally content with that. We spend too much time being critical with ourselves and not enough time appreciating everything we’ve got! So let’s all learn to love ourselves more – not just for our looks, but for who we are.
