7 Goals for 2017

Just some of the amazing memories from 2016
Just some of the amazing memories from 2016

At the beginning of every year I sit down and reflect on the previous year. The way the last 365 days panned out, the things I’ve achieved and the lessons I’ve learnt. 2016 was such a great year for me, probably the best year yet!

At the beginning of last year I was only focused on one thing – work and my career. I was happy with what I was doing, in fact I loved it, but felt there was something missing.

I had always wanted to travel and see more of the world so around August last year I took the plunge and decided to leave my job and make my travelling fantasy a reality. It was a tough decision to make, knowing I’m leaving my job with nothing to go back to, but I don’t regret it one bit! I’m 4 weeks in and I’ve already created some pretty amazing memories with some incredible people, that I’ll be cherishing forever!

As I do every year, I sit down and think about what I want to achieve for the year ahead. I don’t usually tell anyone about the goals I set myself, but this year I think it’s time for a change. So as I’m here in Phuket sitting on a beach, here are my 7 goals for 2017.

  1. Spend more time doing things I love with family & friends.
  2. Turn an idea into a reality – work hard and make it happen.
  3. Go with your gut and don’t be afraid to say yes / no.
  4. Get fit & eat healthy.
  5. Do a full marathon.
  6. Solve a rubix cube.
  7. Read more.

If you’ve got any New Years resolutions or goals for the year leave a comment below! I’ll give you an update on how things turn out / if and when I achieve the goals.
